Owned by Lubbock native Josh Washington, Elite Basketball trains players of all levels on and off the court. Josh’s journey into basketball began at four years old, guided by his father, Joe Washington. From those early dribbles to playing for Texas Tech University and Texas A&M Corpus Christi, his love for the game evolved into a lifelong commitment.

Josh started Elite Basketball in 2022, for players of all skill levels seeking not only to enhance their on-court abilities but also to gain valuable life skills. The genesis of this endeavor was sparked by an exceptional season for one player who underwent Josh’s training. From this humble starting point, Elite Basketball has grown into a community of over 200 players, each benefiting from Josh’s unique approach to the game.

Behind Josh’s success lies a simple philosophy: the power of showing up. Josh emphasizes the importance of consistency in achieving excellence, whether on the court or in life.

The roster of athletes who have trained with Elite Basketball includes Texas Tech all-stars Zhaire Smith, Jaylon Tyson, De’Vion Harmon, Jarrett Culver and his brother JJ Culver, Josh’s impact extends even to players representing the Air Raiders in the TBT Tournament.

Beyond the court, Elite Basketball partners with Local Legends, a small business ensuring that the merchandise and camp t-shirts reflect the spirit of the community which has so wholly embraced each athlete.
