The business development program is a core initiative of the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA), designed to support the long-term success of existing businesses in Lubbock, Texas. Company Visits

As a key component of LEDA’s business development and retention strategy, company visits are essential to building strong, long-term partnerships with Lubbock’s primary employers. These visits, conducted with executive leadership and operational decision-makers, provide valuable insight into each company’s operations, workforce needs, and growth plans. 

By engaging directly with business leaders, LEDA gains a deeper understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and operational challenges. LEDA is committed to supporting businesses that drive economic impact through the creation and retention of primary jobs—those that bring new dollars into the local economy. As a Type A economic development organization, LEDA prioritizes industries aligned with targeted sectors that strengthen Lubbock’s economic base, including manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, energy, and technology.  

While business development visits are typically focused on primary job employers, LEDA remains a resource for all businesses in Lubbock. Companies outside of targeted sectors are encouraged to connect with our team for guidance, referrals, and support services that contribute to overall business success and community growth.
