#1 Milestones

The first indoor play park in West Texas, Milestones Development and Play Park is a must-see location this summer season. With no time restriction on the Day Pass, children can explore the Milestone’s indoor park to their heart’s content. A Single Day Play Pass or Membership can be purchased on the website or in person. 

#2 Play Street Museum

An immersive and educational exhibit, Play Street Museum provides hands-on exploration for children. Play Street Museum is designed to encourage learning opportunities through it’s real-world environments. Children engage with an art station, custom slime lab, doctor’s office, pet shop, fire station and more! 

#3 National Ranching Heritage Center

The National Ranching Heritage Center has activities for all ages. Their family-friendly activities include a scavenger hunt, viewing the museum and a new Hank the Cowdog exhibit. The Center hosts annual family-friendly events such Ranch Day, Summer Youth Camp and Candlelight at the Ranch. Admission is FREE!

#4 Clay Cafe

Lubbock’s first paint-your-own pottery studio, Clay Cafe is a creative environment for families looking to get out of the house. As a family-owned business, the Clay Cafe works to provide a comfortable, fun environment. Clay Cafe offers classes to children 5 to 10 years old and includes a variety of pottery to paint. Walk-in’s welcome! 

#5 Adventure Park 

The Lubbock go-to, Adventure Park is pure entertainment for families this summer. Equipped with an indoor arcade game room, lazer maze, obstacle course and a full menu to keep the family fueled. Admission is available for purchase online or in-store. 

#6 Science Spectrum and OMNI Theater

The Science Spectrum Museum and OMNI Theater has over 250 hands-on interactive science exhibits. The OMNI Theater is open daily and shows a variety of nature-based screenings featuring: Pandas The Journey Home, Grand Canyon Adventure, and Australia’s Great Wild North. The Museum hosts permanent exhibits such as the Science of Sports, Gallery of Flight, Margaret’s Boutique, Space Center, Dinosaur Exhibit and more!

#7 Silent Wings Museum

A great spot to practice museum manners, the Silent Wings Museum is a World War II exhibit. This museum features the planes flown, weapons fired and missions carried out during WWII. The Silent Wings Museum makes a great spot for kiddos particularly interested in history and machinery. Children 6 and under attend free.   

#8 Buddy Holly Center

The Buddy Holly Center is home to the Texas Musicians Hall of Fame and features a permanent exhibition on the life of Buddy Holly. The exhibit includes Holly’s Fender Stratocaster guitar, glasses, stage clothes and much more. The center also includes a Fine Arts Gallery with temporary, unique art exhibits. 

#9 ART & Company

Starting again on January 12, 2024, ART & Company is hosting Creative Kids AM every other Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for kids ages 5-12 years old. ART & Co. offers fun art classes and private events for all ages. A great opportunity to get the kids out of the house on Friday mornings! Prices are available on ART & Co.’s Facebook. 

#10 Altitude Trampoline Park 

Need a spacious place for high-energy kiddos? Altitude Trampoline Park is the place for you! This 30,000-square-foot park offers a foam pit, gymnastics tumble tracks, a kid zone, basketball lanes and dodgeball! Altitude Lubbock offers Weekday Special passes from Wednesday-Friday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday-Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is available for purchase at the park or online. 

#11 The Mom Lounge

The Mom Lounge is one of Lubbock’s newest hot spots. Recently celebrating its one-year anniversary, The Mom Lounge cultivates a relaxing environment for mothers and their children. This lounge offers the opportunity to take classes with your little ones such as yoga, dance, story-time, sensory play and more. Sit back and enjoy quality time with your girl gang and the little ones.
