Chick-fil-A Supply Planning $50 Million Capital Investment in Lubbock through New Distribution Center

Chick-fil-A Supply is planning a major investment in Lubbock with the construction of a new tri-temperature distribution center located in the Lubbock Business Park, a project that is expected to bring $50 million in capital investment and create approximately 80 new jobs in the region.

The facility will serve as a key part of Chick-fil-A’s growing supply chain and will store and distribute food and related products in controlled environments—cool, freezer, and dry—to its vast network of restaurants. Lubbock was selected due to its strategic location and logistical advantages, enabling efficient service across the region.

“We are looking forward to establishing our newest distribution center in Lubbock, and we are grateful to Mayor McBrayer, the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, and all of our Lubbock community partners who have welcomed us and worked tirelessly to make this happen,” said Dan Marques, Senior Director for Chick-fil-A Supply Operations. “Lubbock provides access to quality talent and strategic advantages that allow us to better serve the needs of our Owner-Operators and Restaurants in the region, and we are excited about our investment into this community.”

The new facility is expected to be located near Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, positioning it strategically for transportation and logistics. The development reflects the company’s continued expansion of its distribution network and commitment to strengthening its infrastructure to meet increasing demand for its growing restaurant footprint.

Jobs created at the facility, with an average wage of approximately $60,000 annually over the next ten years, will span a variety of roles, including warehouse operations, logistics, and transportation.

“We are excited to welcome Chick-fil-A Supply to Lubbock,” said Mayor Mark McBrayer. “Their commitment to community and strong company values align well with the values we prioritize as a city. This investment will create long-term opportunities for families across our great community.”

“We’re proud to help bring an industry-leading company like Chick-fil-A Supply to Lubbock in a way that benefits our entire community, drives new investment, creates new jobs, and further establishes Lubbock as a distribution and logistics hub,” said John Osborne, President & CEO, Lubbock Economic Development Alliance. “This is the kind of partnership that strengthens our city for years to come.”

“Chick-Fil-A Supply’s investment is especially meaningful for District 1 but will provide opportunities for the Lubbock community as a whole,” said Councilwoman Christy Martinez-Garcia, District 1. “This project brings valuable jobs to our residents with competitive wages, an exceptional company culture, and I’m proud to welcome them to the Lubbock community.”

Construction is set to begin in May 2026.
